  15. close associate of former Attorney General Edwin Meese; of
  16. racketeering in connection with lobbying efforts for the
  17. defunct Wedtech Corp.; in New York City. The jury found that
  18. Wallach and co-defendants W. Franklyn Chinn and R. Kent London
  19. received a total of more than $1.5 million worth of cash and
  20. stock from the company for using their influence with federal
  21. officials. Wallach faces a sentence of up to 45 years in prison
  22. and $1.3 million in fines.
